About

There is something almost terrifying about having an empty ‘about me’ page that you have to fill out.  ‘How shall I phrase my words? What sort of person do I want [you] to see? Will anyone even look at this?’ On and on the questions go. And now you’ll all know that whatever I put on here will be a carefully selected version of whatever the heck I do to make myself seem more approachable. Not that I’m not.

If you’ve read my introductory post, you should know by now that my name is Lyanne and that I am twenty-something, presumably female. (I am.) What you don’t know is that I am soon to graduate from university with a degree in Fine Arts. My focus is in painting and drawing. I am a rambler. Maybe that’s why I love writing so much. It gives me an outlet for my overthinking. I can be a silly mess and love being a goof, though not many people know it outside of my family. When I was younger, my dream was to work in the music business. I was a flautist and a singer. Now I mostly sing and attempt to play the guitar and ukulele. Not at the same time of course. My three favorite things are books, rainy days, and rootbeer floats. Oh, and music. Of course. I have a habit of throwing things in bags and forgetting about them. Can you guess how many bags I have? I can’t.

Turns out, this isn’t as carefully selected as I thought it’d be. Might have something to do with the fact it’s past midnight. All the better!

I’m not quite sure how wordpress works just yet, as I’ve only just started this thing. If it’s anything like tumblr then I know I’ll absolutely love it. I can’t wait to explore and find a sense of community on here.

As for blog posts, I am the type of person who likes interacting with my audience and thus would love to know if you have ideas on what I can talk about, what you’d like to see. Feel free to comment or leave messages for me.

Thanks for stopping by!
